About us

David Prendergast and Tom Staunton are the owners of sheepproducts.ie. Both David and Tom grew up on mixed farming enterprises of cattle and sheep. David and Tom have a passion for sheep farming and they farm on the shores of Lough Mask in Tourmakeady with the mountains as their backdrop. 

Sheep farming is in their blood as their fathers and generations before them have farmed. The type of sheep kept on the farms are a mix of Mayo Blackface ewes, Lanark Blackface ewes, Bluefaced Leicester and some crossbreed stock which are reared separately as a lowland flock. The Bluefaced Leicester is crossed with the Blackface ewes and the well known Mayo Mule is produced for the annual sales in Ballinrobe every year. 

David and Tom understand the needs of sheep farmers and they use their practical experience of using the products and their education and knowledge on the technical aspects of the products. This allows sheepproducts.ie to give the best range of products and advice available to sheep farmers throughout Ireland.
