Bovex

Bovex 2.265% oral suspension is a broad spectrum worm drench for cattle and sheep, indicated for the treatment and control of mature and immature gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms and tapeworms. This product is ovicidal against nematode eggs. Each ml of Bovex 2.265% contains 22.65mg oxfendazole.

Dosage and Administration:

For oral administration only using properly calibrated dosing equipment, Estimate bodyweight accurately.

Cattle: 4.5mg oxfendazole per kg bodyweight

Sheep: 5mg oxfendazole per kg bodyweight

To ensure administration of correct dose, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible, accuracy of the dosing device should be checked. If animals are to be treated collectively rather than individually, they should be grouped according to their bodyweight and dosed accordingly.

Withdrawal Period:

Cattle:  should not be slaughtered for human consumption until 14 days after dosing. Milk from treated cows should not be used for human consumption until 84 hours after the dosing of Bovex 2.265%

Sheep:  should not be slaughtered for human consumption until 21 days after dosing. Do not administer for sheep producing milk for human consumption.

Warnings and Precautions:

Where a dosing gun is used to administer the product, care should be taken to avoid the occurrence of dosing gun pharyngitis. Veterinary advice should be sought on appropriate dosing programmes and stock management to achieve adequate parasite control and reduce the likelihood of anthelmintic resistance developing. Care should be taken to avoid the following practices because they increase the risk of ineffective therapy. Too frequent and repeated use of of anthelmintics from the same class, over an extended period of time. For oral use only. Do not exceed stated dose. Do not store above 25 degrees.
